Hey, you! I extend a very warm welcome to Sweet Tea Epiphany, a place where I hope to share reflections, stories, tips, and more about my experiences in college and the rest of the world! Don’t be shy, I’d love to hear what you have to say as well; feel free to introduce yourself in a comment, by email, or through Facebook and
Good. Now that that’s settled, I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself, right, considering we’re best friends and all.
I was born and raised in Southern Maryland loving all things Old Bay, sunflowers, and sharing the fact that our state sport is jousting (because how cool is that).
Currently, I am a student at North Carolina State University majoring in civil engineering and minoring in Spanish. I’m a proud sister of Alpha Omega Epsilon with a major love for sweet tea (obvi), Amazon Prime, and making anything into an adventure.
Up until my first year of college, I was always known as the quiet little blonde girl in the corner of the classroom. In high school, I could sometimes go a whole day without saying a word to anyone. I gradually came to realize the extent at which anxiety and shyness were taking over my life and I vowed to become someone completely new in college.
Well, that didn’t completely happen. Sometimes I’m still that quiet little blonde girl. What did change, however, was the fact that college has slowly forced me to confront my fears head on. Though I may sometimes give in to those fears or things may sometimes go incredibly wrong, I learned to embrace my hot-mess, mid-semester, generation Z-mid-life-crisis self and just keep making my way downtown.
So anyway, whether you’re in need of inspiration, reflection, or something to kill an hour during the day, I hope you can find it here. See you soon! <3
