It’s no secret that you should be drinking plenty of water on a regular basis. You know, since it keeps your body in working order and whatnot. I was never one to carry a water bottle around or make the effort to drink enough water until I heard about infuser water bottles. I bought this one one summer and never looked back!
During my freshman year, I was on a soda kick for a while because it was just always available, but I eventually realized how often I was really drinking it. I subsequently limited soda to the weekends, which was our informal rule back home. The dining hall even has their own infused water available, which is awesome and really encourages good habits.
Here’s a list of infusion ingredients to give you some ideas! I haven’t tried all of these, but they sound so refreshing. When I’m done living in a dorm on a college budget I’m going to have to build my stockpile. When I do have access, however, my favorites are strawberries, mint, and cucumber!
Benefits of infused water include freshening breath, aiding digestion, and introducing extra minerals, nutrients, and antioxidants to the body. Add that to the fact that the sweet taste (without added sugar) will get you drinking more of it and it’s practically magic.
